Currently running 85mm Bomber on my rockhopper and I really fancy a bit more travel as it gets a bit 'squirely' on steep descents. It originally came with a god awful Manitou 100m fork which came straight off. Do you think I could get away with a 120mm fork, or would it mess up the geometry and stress the ali frame too much?

I have a rockshox recon 351 with the travel reduced to 110mm on my rockhopper, the geometry is fine and you could easily have 120 with no issues.

I had 130mm AM Bombers on the front for aaagggeees across the alps a few times etc. It was ace, and the bombers are a really tall fork for the travel. It takes a bit of getting used to the wandery handling, but on the downhills it is way good. Recomended
