Sent my rear Mavic ksyrium off for a warranty job (vibration and noise @ 30mph+) and upon return they now have a quiet freehub. Before they went they made the usual mavic clicky freehub noise.
Would I be correct in thinking that the freehub has been packed with grease and would I be also correct in thinking that the freehub should have mineral oil in there for lubrication not grease.

Mavic recommend five drops of their own brand oil in the freehub.

Yes, defo mineral oil

if its been returned to the Service centre then there's no way Gary would have put grease in, a really fresh well oiled hub might not be very clicky though

they come with minimal grease/mineral oil as standard so they have that "wow clicky/low friction feel"

as you have found out that if you dont service and renew this oil/grease regularly they wear out - probably just the main ptfe bush.

they will have stuck a bit extra in , it will bed in most likely.

hopes are the same after a service.
