considering a set of Mavic XA Elite wheels, which come with this freehub. Will my XT 8000 11 Speed cassette go straight on or do I need to change anything ?

Cassette will go straight on. I have the cheaper xa wheels and use an slx 11 speed. Just remember to order Shimano rather than xd driver.
Edit. Although I recall mavic advice that cassettes using individual sprockets shouldn't be used, because they bite into the freehub body. However I've used these on an older its2 freehub body without issues.

The wheels seems to get good reviews and are a decent price. I broke my blingy OEM Giant carbon XCR1 rear rim the other week and a for the price of a new one I can get a pair of these Mavics....
