So i just got hold of a new to me mavic crossride front wheel to replace the shimano/alex wheel i just destroyed.
While i'm at it i'm going to set it up tubeless as previously mentioned.
Does anyone know if the rim is ready to go tubeless with a ust tyre or do i need to use a stans type kit?
The rim has mavic's black thick rim tape installed already

iirc they are not ust rims and need taping

Crossrides aren't tubeless-ready as far as I know (my 2012 ones aren't anyway).
Stans strip or ghetto gaffer tape should sort it though.

So do I need to remove this tape and put stans yellow tape in?
