Any reason not to?

Not after high spec, just competent winter wheels.

Cross bit is not for racing, just training on easy paths.

I have em.

They have not buckled under my considerable mass nor did they get broken in a fairly big fall this week.

I have a set and am the wrong side of 100kg with no complaints so far, although I've only used them minimally off-road.

I've been using a set for around 9 months on the commuter, they been smashed on some awful country roads without any issues. I'm running 28cc Conti's on them at 85-100 psi.

They aren't the lightest but then they aren't heavy, heavy. For general purpose wheels they are perfectly decent.

I ran a set last winter with no issues. I'd still be running them but a set of DT Swiss Spline came up at a very good price and I like changing equipment on a fairly regular basis.

Sounds like these are a good shout.

They'll be on a bike locked up in an open, but hidden, car park. So don't really want to spend much. Even the Kinesis offerings are a little too good.
