On 819's you have a screw in (i think) insert that the nipple sits in, are these replacable as i have pulled one out, well more like split it. The rim doesnt look damaged but im not sure how they go in, if you can replace them or if you can where to buy them???

Anyone know

Pretty sure I have some kicking around in the garage. I built a few sets of 823 and 819 wheels a few years ago, so if it is only a couple of them you should be in luck.

Drop me a mail (in profile) and after I've checked the spares boxes tomorrow I'll get some over to you ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers GavinB

Spoke cups extensive googling reveals

I only need one to get rolling, however 2 would be great as i think the boulder did a good job at dragging on a few spokes!!!

I have 819 USTs on mine and sometimes notice that air leeks from the nipple base on some spokes, do they simply need tightenting with the abovementioned tool.
Sorry but i am very naive when it come to maintenance.
Cheers

Nope, the only way air can get to the nipples on these rims is by escaping around the valve assembly. Either tighten it a touch, remove and clean it, or maybe replace it with a new one.
