Hi, I've bought a 06/07 blur frame and would like you to tell me what front mech your using , ie: swing and pull type, not too sure on front mechs as I've allways had a deore on all my frames,

Usually - Top Swing/Top Pull.
Is that what your using ?
I don't use a Blur - but my mate does and I have 'serviced' his bike and that was what his was? And I also believe it is exactly the same as my Heckler which is also Top Pull/Top Swing (you should be able to tell by the cable routing??).
Thought it was top pull as cable comes down the seat tube , how do you tell it's a top swing ? Are they the ones with the clamp higher up as opposed to inline.
I actually use a Top Swing/Dual pull (as does my mate with the Blur), like this....

I'm running a conventional swing XT mech on my 4x, just because I had one. Will be switching it to a top swing like the picture above soon as I'm not overly happy with how the cable runs.
