Does anyone know if we can park on Starkholmes road in Matlock near where the school is? Or if the side roads opposite the school are going to be okay, and not some residents permit type place or anything?

Meeting a couple of people in Matlock tomorrow, and we need to be somewhere near the school, so I imagine it would be easiest (or cheaper) to park there rather than somewhere in the centre of town.

cheers,

Joe

Yes you should easily find somewhere to park around there. There is parking on Starkholmes road and the drive up to the church. I doubt very much that there will be a parking permit scheme on the side roads although I can't be absolutely sure.

No parking permit scheme. As local as can be...enjoy.

Just find a space and park in it. We always park in the White Lion, but then we always call for a pint after.

From Starkholmes you just have to do Riber, Brown Trousers, Lea woods, Cromford incline (but cut left into the woods a quarter of the way up), Black Rocks and back.
