It was just a matter of time before Steve succumbed to the delights of a FS after a long spell on a HT. Not only that, he only has to copy me & get a white 5 & go 2 better by getting 150 forks & a Reverb seatpost. Still, mines lighter than his so nurrr.

He'll kill me on the descents now. 😥

Not much in the background to comment on. Could upgrade to Race Face Deus with the gold small chainring and crank arm detail, £119 at CRC. They'd go well with the Kashmina and fork decals. I like spending other people's money 😀

Did forget to mention that the wheels, drivetrain/shifters, brakes, saddle & grips are off his HT. He says his 1st upgrade will be XTR cranks.

It's a 16", same as mine BTW.

Looks well, did it come with a Maxle or Maxle-lite? can't wait to have mine finnished in the next couple of weeks.
Note to self, must get the pointing done.

Not seeing a damp proof course - is that a garden wall. Pointing very tidy.

Bike is very nice!

I suspect the damp proof course would be below the course with weep holes, although ideally it should be min 150mm above ground level.
Nice bike btw

Yup like that too, although the Kashima look has a whiff of scouse ladies and sun beds.

Great comments, I'll tell him (he doesn't 'do' forums). Came with Maxle, mine came with a maxle lite which has since been replaced with straight axle.
I'll mention the damp course but as he's a building surveyor & known as 'Set Square Desk' I'm sure he's made sure about damp course if neccessary. Thats the garage wall BTW.

WAIT! I've spotted some moss on the tarmac floor, inbetween the wheels.

There's also a face in one of the bricks - on pic 2 its directly above the top of the back wheel. It could be Jesus, or Bishop Brennan.

Update on Steve's bike!!!
Did a 22 mile ride on the NYM today & back at the car(s) I noticed some dodgy lookin substance oozing from Steve's shorts, yes, he'd 'proper fallen in love' with it!
Now he's gonna spend £££'s on making it lighter (than mine, at 27.8lbs)
& I still passed him going down Turkey Nab.
Good day out, but I wish he'd stop being such a weight weenie. 🙄
