OK, get this right. Just found out my mate just brought a BigHit completely out of the blue.
Like he hardly mountain bikes, he owns a shitty hardtail he brought from Halfords for like £300. Now hes got a BigHit!
It just stupid, if you know him its probably the equivalent of you or I buying a hang glider, or a 700" HDTV...completely pointless!
Plus, theres nowhere near us thats good for any kind of downhilling/freeride stuff. Nearest is Afan/Cwncarn, maybe 2hrs away.
it'll be fun jumping off kerbs though!

my mate made noises about buying a bike. I said well let me know and i'll make a recommendation. next thing i know he's bought a freeride bike a size or 2 small!
sold it now and bought a proper bike.
It is frustrating when friends think they can go and spend their own money how they want without our permission isn't it?

To be fair there isn't a simpler more reliable, cheap DH chassis than the big hit (okay maybe a 22x, but thy don't come cheap).
They are simply dreadful if you don't have gravity on your side though.
Wish him well in mastering the fine art of huck to flat.
I'd buy one too if I knew it would wind you up this much 🙂
