Hi all

Been looking at buying a nomad carbon as it will cost me a arm and a leg just wanted to see what everyone thought of them and what spec you might have.

Cheers
Aaron

They are beautiful! I had a quick spin down the street on an alloy version so can't comment on performance but bb felt higher, top tube shorter and head angle steeper than my spicy. This will no doubt suit plenty of folk but I won't be saving up for one!

I think it was what they call the xo 1x10 build. Nicely thought out spec IMO, very light for a big bike, think he said 28lbs.

They are amazing just finished the build on my LTC and if thats anything to go by the Nomad will be nuts. We have a Carbon XC, a Carbon LTC and a carbon Nomad as demo's, let me know if you fancy a test ride if not we can do you a deal on one. Mail in profile

Lovely looking bike. But. I've never liked the feel of the standard nomad, dare say the carbon version will feel very similar. On paper, for my needs and wants the 2011 enduro carbon would be better suited. Not a bike to overlook anyway.

They dont feel similar, the aluminium and carbon versions are quite different, the carbon is super stiff and tracks much better, not that the aluminium ones didn't track well but the carbon ones just lift it another level.

"They dont feel similar" lol-£650 different? 'Its much better than the alu one but the alu one is'nt much worse'!!!Refine your sales patter some before trying to use the forum for free sales advertising eh.....(the tallboy thread aswell)
At least be transparent about which shop you are...this has all been discussed on here before 😕

Just to clarify, I meant they would "feel" similar in so far as they have identical geometry as far as I can see. I've always found the nomad to feel too short on the top tube, highish and with a steepish head angle relative to it's travel.

Granted, the carbon version will be stiffer, but it's still a Nomad. So it will feel like a Nomad, will it not?
