I've some old bombers that need some TLC but unsure if it's worth the hassle given the age and condition - especially when the cost of service/parts is taken into account.
They are 04 Marzocchi Bomber Z1 Drop-Offs.

They have a large scratch in one of the stanctions, will probably also need new bushings and I think the rebound adjuster is not correctly functioning.
Initial price estimates seem around £200 given that they likely need new uppers...
So could I buy something better for new... or is it worth getting these in tip-top condition?

not worth it at that price. Is oil leaking past the scratch, is it damaging the seals? if not then its purely cosmetic.
I'd change the oil, run them til they die and keep an eye out for some new or used (but newer) bargains.
