Have managed to break this axle, the small theads have ripped out of the quick release lever. Have a quick Google for a new one but the only one I can find looks different but does state it will fit 44's
Mine looks like this.

Ones for sale looks like this

Are these just a new design (for the better? Anyone come accross this?

Done the same - seems a fragile component imo. Anyway I got a replacement from the shop next to windwave - ukbikestore I think. Just don't do it up very tight.

Not sure about the 2nd one in your links. Maybe check with Windwave?

I thought about uk bike store as have had loads of bits from them in the past, their website doesn't work so not sure if they are still going, I have emailed windwave also. Not having much luck with these forks, they perform great but due to issues I'm on my 3rd replacement set and this pair has already had a new axle as the bolt snapped when using the quick release straight out of the box, it was not even tight, now this which admittedly is my fault as I think I had it to tight

After having a 350 NCR since October, I got a refund last week and bought a Yari instead. Never felt smooth after 30 hours of riding.

Sent back to Windwave for new seals and oil, then after another hour of riding, it started to develop scratches on the stanchions.

Lots of people telling me that they were smooth as butter etc. They were as smooth as toast!
