Does anybody know of this trader? Are they normally reputable? I'm struggling to contact them.

I did speak to them at the beginning of September to check they had a part in stock, they said yes, and I should pay for it on line, and I would get it in a few days.

Of course it hasnt arrived, they dont respond to e mails and when I speak to them they are very vague and promise to call me back, which they havent.

I would go round there but I live some distance away.

Bit worried I've lost the money.

Thanks for any help.

How did you pay? If you used PayPal or a credit card just cancel the transaction.

I know of them, and have been in the shop a few times, it's very near Cwmcarn. They're long established and seem decent.

Haven't ever bought from them online, so not sure how they "normally are" in that regard, but hopefully it's just an admin thing - keep trying the phone!

Friends use them a lot, no idea how responsive they are normally, but are a long standing business

I've used them a number of times for wheel builds etc - they are absolutely reputable, but a bit disorganised and not the best place to use if you want stuff done quick.

I wouldn't even bother with email as I've not seen a computer in there. Phonecalls best and don't expect them to actually remember to call you back - one of those places best dealt with in person, which is a bit out of step with the modern world.

Was buying Grafton kit off them in 91 and they had been around a long time by then... bit chaotic maybe but wouldn't worry about their integrity! Anyone local could call in and chase them up?

The shop is based in Risca which has been in lockdown for a couple of weeks - Newport too since Tuesday. Could explain the delay if the staff are not local.

Only bike mechanic and wheel builder I let near my bikes. It's an old school shop but if you give Tim a call he'll sort it.

I've managed to speak to this chap on two occasions now and he promises to refund my money, but he hasnt. No response to e mails at all.

Raised a dispute with my card provider but they have advised it will be 45 days until they can look at this for me.

It feels like I have been robbed by these people.

I would really advise anyone against using this company for mail order stuff.
