Got mine (2009) built up recently, but with the 70mm stem/150mm Revs it still seems pretty steep/like my weight is right over the front.

Wondering wether a shorter stem is the way forward? Or swap to a Rock Springs with the Revs? Would prefer not to add any weight as its meant to encourage me to pedal more(so no Lyriks!)

Thats probably what I mean! Bike came with Pikes, but thinking the shorter travel frame may feel better angles wise..

I've got 36 vans on the front of wolf ridge, sets the head angle to about 65-66 and the bb nice and low. I hate the fact it's so heavy but the geometry is so good I live with it.

160mm Fox Vans with a 50mm straightline stem here, PERFECT ๐Ÿ™‚

I know what you mean about the forks, the original pikes never felt right and didn't seem as capable as the rear.

2008 here and mine feels spot on with 150mm 36s(never liked the pikes) and a thomson 70mm stem, again as Steveh says bloody heavy but worth it. ๐Ÿ˜€

2009 Wolf Ridge, 70mm stem, 150mm revelation dual airs. Its quite a slack bike considering the travel, no idea why yours feels steep? Are the forks setup right - too much negative air maybe?

09 wolf ridge, just been out for my third ride on it with 70mm thomson and 140mm marz 44 RC3 Ti forks.

was dh only today at leckhampton hill and it feels pretty nice and handled itself well. I have a niggling feeling I'd like it slacker but that'd mean having to buy new 55 rc3 ti and i can't be doing with that yet!

looks like these marz 44 have a 6mm shorter axle to crown height than the pikes. wonder how much of an effect that'll have.

140 talas, 80mm stem, runs fine, feels like a mini quake.

How did I miss this thread? Lyriks and 50mm Sunline here. I love it. Although wouldn't have though 150mm/70mm would put you over the front unless the frame is too small for you.

Mine (large) came with an 80mm stem which did the bike no favours at all. I tried it with 150mm Revelations and didn't notice much difference except that it was about a pound lighter.

I swapped the stem for a 65mm Straitline and the front end felt instantly better.

I swapped the Revelations for a set of Wotans and the front end felt better still.

[edit] A 6' 1" rider definitely needs a large. And the seatpost diameter is 30.9"
