guessing a few bit's of decent MDF or ply, 2 metal rollers, a set of bearings and some swearing should do it.

I guess you could copy old cycle trainers with a heavy wheel and belt resistance?
Personally I'd get mudguards and go ride unless it's raining all the time £99 would get you started for a new turbo trainer from Halfords made by Elite.
i always though a giant clear hamster ball would be fun to ride round the house in 🙂
2nd is an option but i've lots of free time, like making stuff, not hard enough to ride around on icy roads in temperature of minus ****ing cold and i'm poor.
alpin are you in Bristol? I bet you could get my old turbo trainer working.
