[Closed] Magura Laurin - Travel Adjust doesn't adjust

Hello,

Anyone got laurins or know about the 130-100mm lock down mechanism? Mine doesn't hold the forks down 9 time out of 10 and if it does, then it slowly rises.

Would like to be able to have a dabble and get it sorted!

Cheers

Im assuming you have a laurin fcr? Travel adjust attaches to top of left leg?

The seals can dry out. Try leaving the bike upside down with the travel adjust lever propped open. This will hopefully mean oil dribbles back through the open air piston and sits on top keeping the seals lubed

Magura uk are very helpful if you call them....

Yes, they are FCRs. I'll try what you suggest and see what happens. Not sure how to prop the valve open though, I don't have a cable attached, but will work something out.

I suppose the other option is to remove the top cap (let the air out obviously!) and squirt 5ml of 5 or 10wt oil in

holding the travel adjust lever open for 15 mins will probably be enough tbh if leaving overnight is tricky

How do you remove the top cap? I was trying to do that the other day but couldn't work it out. The FCR dial has a bit of play in it, compared with the Albert Select knob and I wanted to have a look at sorting that out as the dial doesn't snap back the way the Albert Select one does. Think it just needs a good clean.

Anyway, there seems to be a nut over the air valve that might release it, but I can't get a socket over it as there isn't any room.

Any ideas?
