be good to know how these fit onto and inside the helmet.. as they are only velcro.. would the strap need to be cut to size so as it is out of the way inside the skid lid...

anyone got any pics of the light mounted to the helmet and also a few pics of the strap that is inside the skid lid..

I did away with the strap and just zip tied it on. Works a treat.

I have found that a good alternative is this universal mount which is basically a rubber block with velcro straps.
To mount the magicshine, I remove the upper velcro strap and use the standard bar mount o-ring to attach the light to the block, then velcro the block to the helmet as intended.
Absolutely bombproof mount and also good for mounting a conventional flashlight instead if you so desire.

Ive used the universal mount for my p7 torch.. i didn't like it, the torch bounced about to much and caused a strobing effect.. but it did the job till i got myself the magic shine torch and modded it with a quick release bracket... (btw for the bars)

id zip tie or Velcro strap it.. the rubber o ring stretches after a while

cheers folks... I have fitted the mount using the velcro strap and cut it to size once the light was in place....will see how it all goes, if it is unstable then I will use zip ties.. 8)
