hey folks, dx bike light arrived today. checked it works and fork me its bright! had a browse over trouties dissection of the light and unscrewed the lens cover to have a look, but reluctant to go any deeper really. will check the post again an see whats required.
My question was really to do with the battery - worth running down first before charging? Also I gather they aren't very well sealed so a plastic bag is recommended too?

I took my light unit apart and added more heatsink paste to the led base / heatsink / shell interfaces as there wasn't much in there... and wrapped the batteries well with insulation tape, especially where the cable enters the pack.
