I need a new helmet and like the look on the recon but was wondering how well a Magicshine O ring mount works with one?
At the moment I have a Hex and the O ring mounts durectly round the first cross brace in the central vent channel which is good, the Recon doesn't have a central channel so it's not an option. I'd rather not use the MS helmet mount as it sits so hight and the design is poor so it can never been tigned enough to stop wobbling.
I've been struggling with my recon too. I just ended up with one of those velcro bar mounts on an angle - its crap though.
Hmmmm, that's what I feared, I may have to look at other AM helmet options.
Yeah, not figured that one out either. I just bought a cheap, naff helmet for night rides instead...
A cheap helmet might be an option especially as night rides aren't very AM.
That's what I thought. At some point I'm going to plaster it with reflective stickers too, for added please-don't-run-me-over visibility on the tarmac. 🙂
