I have found a magic ratio for my Zasker quite by accident 46 - 13! The chain is a bit worn but the nice new one is a bit tight!
I might struggle on the climbs a bit, but I only use this for work, do you think I should get rid of the chainring guard on the cranks?

It's good while it lasts. Would a BMX chain or a half-link chain last longer?

I have a new single speed chain but it's a bit tight, I might ask LBS for their old chains, if there not too worn and change it regularly. Or maybe get an eccentric BB.
