Ive been riding with a 183 rotor / juicy 3 set up . Recently aquired an lx disc set up . But it is a 160 front and rear. Will I be able to use the post to post 183mm adapter from the juicy with the lx or will it just be better to buy a shimano adapter and new disc??

are most rotors/adapters cross compatible with different makes of brakes??
i've got loads of old avid rotors/adapters, i'm pretty sure they'll work with Hope etc..?
