Thanks folks.

Might plan a longer Ludlow ride in a few weeks time if anyone's interested. Same start location at Vinnalls, heading out through Mortimer Forest singletrack and then further over to the trails on Brircher Common and Croft Ambrey (an Iron age fort), then back to the Mortimer. Nice cafe lunch enroute at Croft too (they do a good Ploughman's and serve Wigmore Cider) ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyone interested? I'll try and book better weather this time ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ah! I see the mix of alcohol & riding combined was too tempting ๐Ÿ˜‰

What ever suits you guys. Was thinking either Sunday 1st or Sunday 7th June. After that I have Rough Ride, then I'm off to Morzine. Or we can make it a Sunday in July if you prefer.

Alternatively I can do in in June AND and July. It's my fav local big ride. That and i like Wigmore Cider!

Ok Stu. I'll still do this for the 7th June, but will also organize the same again in July anyway.

Is there a date in July that will suit you guys? I rarely do enduro's or races, so never pay attention to the dates you see!

Ok if I tag along for the July date so long as it isn't the 18th?

I'll try and bring a couple of others along too if that's ok.

Ok, I'll do a Mortimer-Bircher-Croft ride on the 7th June for those interested and then how does Sunday 5th July sound to everyone for the same again?

Stu, I'm planning an easy ride around the Wyre this Monday morning if you or anyone else if free? About 10am from the Duke?

Ben

5th July sounds ideal.

Wouldn't mind doing Monday too, but Mrs J has granted one pass out this weekend, two would be pushing it.

Stu, probabaly best you give me a suitable July date then!

The only July date I can't do is 12th, as we're running the Devil Ride sportive roadie event that Sunday.

What can you do?

Dave, are you free for my Mortimer-Bircher-Croft ride on 6th July? Should be a good one with a nice cafe stop for lunch ๐Ÿ™‚

If not, then I'm repeating the ride on the 26th July by the looks of it (if Stu's nails have dried ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

For anyone wanting to do the Mortimer/Bircher/Croft/Mortimer ride on Sunday 7th June, I'm planning on a 9.30am start from the High Vinnalls carpark of the Mortimer Forest. Keep an eye out here for comfirmation this Friday/Saturday, but unless the heavens dump the Atlantic on Ludlow I'm game on. I will also run this same ride again on both Sunday 5th July and Sunday 26th July for those who can't make it on the 7th June.

There will be a cafe stop at Croft for a snack/lunch, or you can bring sarnies. The cafe isn't cheap as it's Nat Trust but it's all good stuff.

The ride itself won't be fast, as I'm a firm believer in the pace of the slowest rider (usually me!), but there will be a good mix of technical singletrack, fireroads, cheeky trail and some back lane. Come self sufficient!

Directions to carpark: From Ludlow head south out of town on the B4361, take the 1st turning on the right just over the bridge after the Charlton Arms. High Vinnalls car park is about 2.5 miles up & over this road towards Wigmore. OS Grid Reference: SO474731.

If you need to ask any questions email me at: benwilliams70ATgooglemailDOTcom

See you on the 7th June!

I've just been checking Sunday's weather and it doesn't look too great ๐Ÿ™

At the moment the weather men are unsure quite how much rain will be falling on Ludlow come Sunday morning, but it look like alot! So I propose checking again on Saturday when they make their minds up, then I'll post again to confirm the ride is still on.

As it stands I'll still be doing the ride, but some folks may find this ride very hard going in the wet. I know I do!

Ben

OK, I'm game on, so are a few more locals, so lets have a roll call please! Who's else wants to tag along this Sunday 7th?

I can confirm it will be a 9.30am start from High Vinnalls car park. Ride will include the cafe stop at Croft. If the rain doesn't spoil it there will also be some tidy views from both the top of the High Vinnals and Croft Ambrey, so pack your camera! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Epic - If it's not raining in Hereford tomorrow morning I will hopefully make it over to High Vinnals for 9.30am.

I presume you have had as much rain as we have had today?

Zangolin, we've certainly had some rain - about 10 hours solid I reckon! I can see some comic moments coming on the muddy trails in the morning ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hopefully see you at 9.30 in the morning!

Any more takers?

Epic - just too much persistent rain in Hereford this morning ๐Ÿ˜ฅ
I'll just head out to our local trails at Westwood/Haugh Wood + get covered in **** later on today - when it stops raining of course ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Zangolin, it was pretty aweful here at 9.30, but it stopped raining by 10.30 and the sun even showed by lunch time. Just me and Edward showed - we're hard core lads you see ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Had a crackin' ride over to Croft, though the cafe was out of my favourite Wigmore Cider so I had to make do with a cup of tea. Not so hard core afterall ๐Ÿ™ .

The trails weren't anywhere near as muddy as I thought they'd be, so there weren't even any Giraffe on ice moments. Views from Croft iron age fort were fab, as was the view from the top of the Vinnalls near the end of the ride.

Boo to the slackers, you missed a tidy ride!

I'm running the same ride again on Sunday 5th July. The sunshine has been pre-ordered ๐Ÿ˜€
