Hello,

I've got a Fox 36 and a RP23, is TF2 Lithium grease okay to use on them?
I put some on last night without giving it much thought, realised i should check it won't screw the seals so i wiped what i could off.

Am i being paranoid or will i of gotten away with it?

Where are you putting the grease!? I don't use grease anywhere in fox forks.

Fork Juice FTW

On my old forks I used to use GT85...prob not a good idea but caused no issues and for a crappy set of forks they were quite plush. Plus it smells the biz!

If it's on the stanchions/seals then most fork specific lube these days is Silicone based innit? not sure what Lithim would do but PTFE stuff can apparently balls up some seals, or so I've heard...

No in a word. Don't do it. Fox don't even reccomend the use of a silicon based spray lube on their fork legs as they believe all have small traces of other items in which can break down the suspension oil/float fluid.

It doesn't help anyhting either the lubing of the stanchions is done by the foam rings under the seals. These are lubricated from the oil in the lowers (which you replace regularly to make sure it doesn't run out and ruin your stanchions - happens faster on air forks than coils too btw). Storing your bike upside down (sometimes at least) will help to keep these wet.
