carrying on from my earlier thread about a steerer which is about 10mm too short to be safe, can anyone recommend a low profile headset for a standard steerer tube - currently using an FSA XLII which has a stack height of around 30mm.

Most Crank Bros. headsets are of relatively low, 21mm stack height.
