Not for me again...

6:45pm last Thursday (when I left home, LW bound) my bike's lack of use made itself known.. Main pivot bushing is completely knackered and KS dropper now has mind of it's own.

I started swapping bits back onto my Soul frame but haven't finished it yet.

Anyone know someone reputable in Soton area who can do Nicolai bushings/axles?

Just finished work in Admirals Quay so I'm going to take a slow drive over and use the spare time to try and stop the top bit of my Joplin coming all the way out when I put it back up...

Andy, when I had my Nicolai i had all the bearings and bushings from psyclewerx in Bristol.
I think there is a UK Importer now so you can probably get everything from there.

edit: here you go
http://www.nicolai-uk.com/index.php/technical/spares/

there is also a bit on there about tightening up the bearings as they are adjustable. may be worth a go.

Thanks Rich, Nicolai UK sell the parts but not sure who to send the frame to fit them properly (I have a brass drift and a hammer at home but don't want to risk it myself)... I'll try Psyclewerx as they appear to still sell Nicolai frames

Enjoy the dust!

EDIT: to acknowledge your edit... I already tried adjusting it, but there's still play in the main pivot and upper linkage pivot (the other's seem OK though)

Ian, thanks very much for the offer but I'm going to spend this evening finishing the Soul rebuild, I won't get time this weekend... house hunting has started!

Pah. Just ride it, rear shock bush on the Bandit is pretty rattly but Mojo sent me the wrong size replacement, still riding it, reasoned that you can't break something that's already broken...

HAHAHA... no, I'm just shit on a bike! although, to be fair, I've never felt as confident on the Helius as I did on my Soul

Matt, it would be hard to just ride it now, it's in bits!

I will be playing at the Bike Park for long enough to hurt my ankle and then meeting you lot for a beer.

Anyone bringing a cake for the birthday boy?
