I left a good percentage of the skin on my hip & elbow on the road this morning after losing the front wheel in a corner at 18mph, so I will be trying not to stick to the soda instead. Hopefully the road rash will be better by next week.

Semi off-topic, apologies...

Is Lordswood worth cycling over to, from the east side of Southampton? I had it in my head that all off-road cycling was stopped up there sometime before 2010.

There are still a lot of trails there though the bigger DH line is flattened frequently. If your search this site there is a rough map somewhere. There is also the Southampton bike park in the sports centre which is worth a look.

Or exploring the area in Strava would give would a reasonable idea of where most of the trails are.

Not riding tonight ๐Ÿ™

You can happily spend a couple of hours riding around without too much repetition. There is also Southampton Bike Park in the sports centre near by which is fun for a while
