I've seen on some road bikes a second Seatclamp that goes round the seat post to allow you to put the Seatpost back in at exactly the same height.

I want a 27.2mm one but have no idea what to search for. Anyone have an idea?

Thank you.

Permanent marker line. It's the ultra lightweight option.

You could use a clamp slightly larger than you need with a rubber shim. Or just use your rear light clamp to do it.

Rockshox do the blingy enduro collar but not sure what size it is machined for.

Could use one of these little things http://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct.php?productid=351

Or alternatively (if you had a larger seatpost this would be perfect), one of these with a small shim. The clamps have no lip, so they can be used for exactly the purpose you described. And they weigh bugger all so you don't have to worry about weight gain.

Aah. That might do it. I take my seatpost out when I wash my bike and I want something to get it back in the right place. I've tried tape but it just comes off. Thanks

Drill a hole through your frame at the bottom of the seatpost.
Put a bolt in, nut on other side.
Bingo, your seatpost always stops at the correct height,

that's got to win the prize for the most extreme solution to to the most tiny of problems.....if it can even be classed as a problem at all

Why indeed? But if you must, why not scratch a small line in the post, works for me on the one & only bike I let others ride!

You need a double locking sprocket or alternatively a humidensifier plate...either of these will work

A 6"4' I tend to find most posts ready marked at the height I require.

If someone did this product but so that the saddle remained straight...

Take a broom-handle and use that as a spacer between the bottom of your seatpost and the bottom bracket. Obviously it'll have to be a similar diameter to your seatpost otherwise it'll either not fit in the frame or could potentially slide inside your seatpost when refitting.

This is a delightfully elegant solution as it is not visible from the outside, so no additional clamps required ๐Ÿ™‚

Cheers, Rich
