Mine have the wobbles, so they need replacing. I'm pretty sure the rest of the bearings are only in need of a re-grease, so I don't need to buy a complete bearing kit. Just the small pair of tiny ones on the seat stay.

Anyone happen to know the size of these, so I can order them - before taking the back end apart..?

It's this version of the Anthem, if that helps:

www.pedalon.co.uk may have something.

On my 2007 Anthem, the small black bolts that go through the bearings on the rear suspension upper link, well the left side always unscrews on it's own and it is expensive buying new bolts (the bolts are so soft!, that they get shredded). If not tightened then you have a little movement in the frame unfortunately. It is a classic light frame and love riding the Giant Trance 26". I Have had no problems with stock bearings though.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Never had that problem on my '08 Anthem 1 or my '09 Anthem Advanced 1 etna8.
Had something similar on a pre production VT in '05, but that was to be expected to iron out the issues before they go to the production version.
It could well be a 608 2RS, but it's been so long since I've done one that I can't honestly remember off the top of my head.
Having said that, whip out the bolt, give the bearing a wipe & read the numbers on the seal.

Cheers guys..! Will check the bolt too.. I still have original set of bearing mounting bolts taken off from when the frame was last serviced by my LBS in 2011!
