I like the Kona Five-0 and the Genesis Alpitude. The Kona looks so much better with decent kit on it.

Taka, it says "Evil" on the downtube and "Imperial" on the top tube, so I would hazard a guess it's an Evil Imperial 😉

It rode like crap with these 160mm Marzocchis...
[img] [/img]

Much better with 140mm Pikes...
[img] [/img]

This is much more fun & faster up & down than any hardtail though...

Love Chvch's bike, what frame is it?

It's an NS Surge.

Very nice frames they are too, but not as nice as your bloody Curtis you keep teasing the rest of us with!

GIT! 😉

170mm:
[IMG] [/IMG]
For GRRRR use only.

but I spend most of my time on this:
[IMG] [/IMG]
Which can be set to 130mm, but has and will always be 110mm.

Does 120-130mm actually count as “long travel” these days? Surely it’s more “average” now we’re living in the age of 160-180mm single crowns…

Bumhands - It's a NS Bikes Surge frame. Been contemplating buying some lyrics for it but it handles really nicely with the pikes so might just keep them on it!

Just looking back through this thread, and there are some really lovely bikes here. Personally, I think that long travel really starts at 130mm, but maybe 120 could be the starting point.

Usually only when I crash. Totally worth it for twin top tube badass-ness

The twin top tube frames remind me of the old school Torker and Haro Freestyler BMX frames. Pretty pointless (apart from being good to do framestands on) but look very cool.
