where should I start looking?

just been on CRC and no luck. Not really sure where I should look for such a thing. Everything is 165mm plus, which is gonna be too long I think, even wih loads of sag.

sorry, rear shock, not forks.

150mm eye-to-eye. I've found some cheap stuff on ebay but they're really cheap...

What about re-springing a 165mm coil shock with a shorter spring - is that doable, on a budget?

the eye to eye length (or stroke) won't cange by changing the spring. 😕

what bike is it for and what stroke does the shock have?

ta GW for that. I think it's an old Giant. I don't know the stroke.

I'll give him a ring this evening and see what he says. It's a cheap bike I think and he's an oldish bloke who uses it for pottering about, so maybe a cheap one will be okay.
