hi all,

quick question. when running a 1x9 setup with a roadie cassette, would it bet better to run a medium or a long cage rear mech?

Short cage if possible but if there's only a choice of those two, medium.

I think the cage length only really makes a difference when you have lots of gears at the front. If you only run 1x9 with a road cassette, then get a road mech. Smaller so theres less chance of it getting snagged on a rock and less clattering about, and lighter aswell.
