I have a set of Wotans on my Reign - perfect combination, just wondered if anyone had put 160mm forks on a Trance X for a laff? Silly/dangerous idea or more efficient hard hitting trail bike.

Well, I have a large TX and I've been using it with Pikes at 120 mm - good. Now I've shifted to 130 mm travel (still Pikes) and will be testing it. The behaviour seemed to change.

What I mean by this. I've seen people putting 140 mm forks on TX and saying it fits pefectly. Maybe it's the case. But 160 mm should probably throw all the geo off.

Disclaimer: this is my dirty speculation. Don't really know how it will work ๐Ÿ™‚

had z1's at 130-140 and it was too long for twisty u.k stuff (would have been o.k for 'alpine' type riding) currently have recons at 130 which is spot on would happily use fox or new revelations at 140

Got the 2008 X2. I speculate that it doesn't so much need longer forks, although it would slack-out more, as stiffer forks (than the F120s). I'd be very curious to try one with the 15mm bolt through version of the F120.
