I'm sure there must have been a few people on here done it before. If so, has anybody got a train back to London afterwards and did they have any hassle? I know that Southern Railway ban trains for the big on-road L2B, but can't find anything about this smaller event.
...anyone?
no probs on the train outside of rush hour. A few of us rode to brighton the other sunday and got the train back
....having same thoughts, hopefully they wont turn off the trains for bikers as they do for the big road day.
As leggyblonde said, there were seven of us in our group and another three or four bikers on the platform when we got on at Brighton, with no issue at all.
What route are you taking? We left from Sutton and did Ranmore, Leith, Pitch, Winterfold and then D link to the S downs. 72miles in all.
Did it a couple of weeks ago. Dead easy, lots of bikes on the train no problem.
yeah we got the train back to london bridge from it last year (two of us did anyway) and it was extremely busy and a bit of a squeeze but i think there was a footy game on that day. planning to train it back this year, in fact you've reminded me to check on footy fixtures and timetables etc. so thanks.
Thanks all. The issue here is that it's a BHF organised ride - so will be a lot busier and was worried that I'd be refused entry to teh station with my bike. Sounds like it should be OK.
Fingers crossed it doesn't rain!
Indeed, dry would be great.
It's only a few riders compared to the road version anyway.
did this a couple of years ago with the BHF had no problem getting back to london on train
