[Closed] LOCT bike seat alternatives?

Ok - I have a we-ride but it is determining future frame choices f doesn't seem compatible with modern headtubes. I currently run it on a transition klunker, but it's not really appropriate. Need to be doing some trail centre type stuff now.

Anyone used an alternative to the LOCT seat? Searches/speculative emails proving fruitless finding one of those.

Didn't someone else produce an alternative? Any other mid mounted alternatives?

I think the similar design is the mac-ride. I have a LOCT which our kids have almost out grown so may be looking to move it on to a new home. Drop me an email if you're interested I'd need to make sure it's not heading out on loan to friends or anything..definitely the best bit of child related paraphernalia I've had (probably including all non bike stuff)!! No problem to go out and do a decent off road loop taking junior with you, so much better than the wee-ride which went on eBay after 2 short rides.

Mac-ride have just pulled all the current design due to safety concerns. Mk2 should be in production by next year. Maybe.

Thanks Jules - YHM. Cheers

I'd seen the Mac-ride and remember reading a bit on here Jam bo. Cheers for the response. Do you know the reasons? Trouble is, you can't ask the kids to stop growing while these things are sorted! These early years are so precious.

Re Mac-ride (I have one) my understanding is that a few of them broke at the top of the stirrup / clamp through a combination of:
Really having to tighten the plate down on top of it to get it to stop moving and it would snap.
Big children hitting quite rough stuff.
Manufacturing issues.

No idea how to rank those 3 though.

I like the Macride but "maybe" is a big maybe on a Macride as they've got a pretty poor record on meeting targets. I ordered in the kickstarter when sweajnr was still in the womb (literally) and if I'm lucky I'll get MK2 when he's 3!!

It's a good concept and sweajnr loves it when it's working.....

If anyone else has a LOCT coming available please let me know. I've tried wanted ads here several times and have a standing eBay search but have never managed to get a sniff of one ๐Ÿ™
