Due to work and family, i've just not been able to get out properly at all this year.

My mate, who hasn't ridden in over 10yrs, has just bought himself an 09 ransom 30 for 1k at evans. So it's off to wales tomorrow!

Anyhow, never been to a trail center before, so not sure what to expect.
Is there a shop there? I need new gloves and would like some more comfortable grips, don't have time today to go, not a big issue though.
I'm currently wearing 2.35 high rollers, will these be ok? Other option is swamp things.

Anything/where I need to look out for? I'm intending doing the full black loop, probably pushing most of the way due to extreme lardyness!

There is a shop at Llandegla, as with all trail centre shops it's not the cheapest but they'll have the bits you mention. High rollers will be better than swamp things, the surface is pretty solid all the way round.

The red and black together take me about an hour and a half so it's not a long route, even at a relaxed pace you'll be fine with it all. There's nothing really to worry about, everything can be rolled. I really like the trails for their big bmx track kind of feel but others find it boring. You'll have a ball though I'm sure and then some food in cafe to celebrate.

Llandegla is a great place to go trail riding if you haven't been anywhere before. Its always fairly dry as most of the track is under cover of the trees. The surface is really smooth and you can get up some speed quickly, theres nothing on the black run to scare you as i did this on a mates bike and was the first trail centre i went to, this is where my passion for MTB started. There is a bit of north shore on the 3rd down part that looks scary but can be rolled off the end quite easily. Other than this just blast it as everything can be rolled or missed. The burgers in the cafe are great n all. Wish i was there but off to Cannock tomorrow.

ENJOY

Cheers, I'm not bothered by it, just didn't want to get caught out anywhere as i'm the designated driver. I've been riding since 93, just never been to a trail center!
