MegaSack DRAW - 6pm Christmas Eve - LIVE on our YouTube Channel
Hiya, just wondering what the surface was like at Llandegla. I'll be driving past next week so thought I'd pop in for a tootle round and wondered if I'd get away with my high roller semi slick on the back.

A bit muddy today mate, snow on the tops as well but still a really good ride. Keep a quid in your pocket for the bike wash though!
Cheers for that itchy...I was starting to think everyone had fell out with me!
I wish it was just a big bmx track, unfortunately its far more boring
as itchy said, a bit muddy, nothing deap. It can get a bit sketchy if its freezing though. It still puts a smile on my face.
Got a bit bored of it last year but it was really good today. Pretty fast as the mud is really thin
I really enjoyed it today, really busy as well. We had a break after the first black section and there was a seven year old kid on the smallest bike I've ever seen doing the very same black route - hats off.
Can't understand the negative comments, I've done it a few times and think it is one of the better trail centre's in the UK. It has a good shop and reasonably priced cafe, very different to the likes of Dalby etc.
Yep good cake!
I went round Llandegla for the first time yesterday and after a night of p1ssing down rain it was fairly wet, but mostly grippy. The only place I lost traction was on a fairly steep rocky climb with a gully on the right hand side about 2/3 of the way round. As already said, the mud is pretty thin, so you never get bogged down - however you do get fairly well splattered. I was well pleased had my crud guard on, but still made good use of the jet wash. I was impressed that the jet wash wasn't that powerful so I didn't feel like i was harming my bike with it.
There was a gang of kids though that seemed intent on stopping and putting their bikes on the middle of the trail - at one instance on a steep switchbacky climb, right on the switchback. Got to the top and was told by my mate that he had told him to move it when he went past, but obviously the kid decided he wouldn't bother. They'd done the same thing after the raised log bit - little 5h1ts.
It's alright, especially if you come in from the Ponderosa over the moors and boardwalk, at night, in sleet and snow. But the cafe isn't open then.
Should have rode over it the second time!
