A full grown man was seen pratting about on a mountain bike in the local park yesterday evening. Clearly perfecting his trackstand skills, complete turns without putting a foot down in the area of one car space (a bit less actually) in case he ever gets to do alpine like swithbacks, bunny hops over large rocks and some north shore in the giuse of riding the length of some quite high kerbs. He was evidently hopeless at wheelies though.
It was ace! Just like being 12 again. Eveybody should have a go ๐
I had a ramp built for my 6yr old to start doing jumps on. It didnt take long for the local kids to start using it and about 6-7 of them were at it for a while. I had a shot on one of the bigger kids bmx's and was getting Rad to the power of sick. That was until i broke the BMX ๐ BMX's shouldnt have chain guards on anyhow!!!
Ha! Brilliant. You borrowed a kids BMX and then broke it?
Regularly take our jumps to the park

Tracey, what rad kids.. nice.
Cool 8) . I've tried to persuade papadirt that he won't have to mow the lawn if he lets me build a pump track but he's having none of it . . . yet ๐
now I know what to do with that spare wood I'm collecting!

Pics were taken 3 years ago, girls have grown and out grown them bikes, but they are still as mad on bikes, the trees to the right on the photo are the entrance to an old quarry which they want to go and build jumps in but that will have to wait till they are a bit older. Recently talked me into entering the mini DH with them

I was to be found riding up and down our back garden last night trying to wheelie and not run over my 3 yr old lad on his islabike rothan as he scooted up and down. No pics unfortunately but the little blighter can shift. Have to run to keep up with him now. Just need to work on his singletrack skills now :-).
