A few (5/6) of the guys i ride with have these. They are fine. There are brighter more powerfull lights on the market but for the money there probably as good as you will get. The light is bright a good spread and depth of beam. A few guys have lights from the big well known brands but there spending £200 / £300. If your just having a go with night riding give them a punt.

I have the headlight and based on my purchase, 6 of the 8 in my riding group bought them....just seal the battery. Search for self-amalgamating tape...that'll do the trick.

I use that on the bars and a torch on the helmet - brill!!

BUT - waterproof the battery, I put mine in a balloon and a cable tie round the neck 😯 it works!

as far as a back light - whatever - your riding OFF road!

Expect delivery time to be around 7-21 days, but otherwise they're a great valve light

Hi Mate, I have just got one of the front lights, for the money its amazing, the new battery pack that comes with this revised model appears well sealed. There is no charging advice however if left on charge once the light goes both red and green it appears to be fully charged (about 4-5 hours. I did swap the lamp clamp to a lumicycle one I had, but I know others use the bands they come with and are happy.

That version seems to have a different battery pack to mine with a display on it - are there any other differences to the previous one? Is it any better sealed?

@grum - i'm hoping its just a newer version, that has been refined from the original, plus the digital read-out appeals to my geeky nature!

It is sealed to IP67* rating which should allow for total immersion upto 1m. Whereas the previous ones, from what I have read on here, seemed susceptible to water ingress just from rain/puddle splashing.

Incidentally I have the new battery in front of me and it looks pretty watertight.

*For those who do not have an IP Code table at hand, "IP67" means that it is:
(6x) Dust tight (No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact) and
(x7) Immersible up to 1 m (Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion))
It whould be nice to know the IP rating also of the lamp itself.
