Hi Chaps,

Are there any lightweight singlespeed 29er frames about? All I can think of are the Scandal are the 29er race....

Any help much appreciated

Cheers,

Ricks

How tall are you? I've got an XL Tomac Flint frame for sale. 4lbs including the Bushnell EBB

Spesh, Trek, Giant, Fisher & a whole host of others must have lightweight offerings by now, not too mention the Ti offerings. Scandal is light, I met a chap on a SS Scandal on the Chase, it was about 21lb with rigid carbon forks. My Inbred tips the scales at 27lb with bolt thru Rebas, & 1x10 SLX.

Cheers chaps, there are lots of 29er racey frames about, but they're not SS specific.

The Salsa Selma looks very nice, scandium tubing and carbon seatstays.

selma's are ace but not as light as an all scandium frame

very comfortable for spending lots of time on though

niner alloy hardtails are made of cheese I know of 3 now that have snapped so you can go too light, maybe why they've binned the scandium and gone for a more hydroformed aluminium now

for super light frames there is only string and glue as an option, like the niners scott, fishers et al...or the chinese ones from the same factories for a fraction of the price 😉
