Has Life Cycles in Lowestoft closed?

I've just spent half the afternoon driving round Lowestoft trying to find Life Cycles.

There is no sign of them at the Whapload road shop. They are listed on Google/Yell etc. and their Facebook page as being at Unit 23 Mobb Road. I drove there - no unit 23 - the industrial estate appears to stop at unit 19. I tried their phone number, but got an error tone.

I'm surprised as they were the best shop in town - half the bikes at work come from them?

They haven't been at Whapload road for aaaaaaaages!

I never saw their Mobbs way unit but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they've thrown in the towel.

You've got Howard at Spoked Cycles whose a decent fella on London Road South, Dunx on the high street (near Lifecycles last home before Whapload road) and if its just service there is Danny at Hand Crafted Wheels on Brooke business Park off Victoria Road. He does evenings mainly which is great for 9 to 5 types.

Just saw your profile and realised you work with my Mrs at CEFAS.

What were you after?

I didn't think it was so long since I'd last been to Life Cycles. Shame!

20" wheel girls bike that isn't junk, but not as expensive as Islabike.

Edit: Needless to say colour is the deciding factor - got offered a very good deal by Howard at Spoked - but unfortunately it was the wrong colour.

Look at the 20" felt bikes at wiggle. Seem a good mix between cost, weight and spec.

I have a Spesh Riprock 12 that will be up for sale soon as I've just got wee nipper a Riprock 16. Got it from Evans.

In the end I ordered Orbea MX20 Dirt

Seems to be very good value in comparison to many other brands. And my daughter likes the all important colour. Arrives tomorrow......almost as exciting as buying myself a bike!

The pale blue with pink bits. Feminine, but not too girly. Bright pink is out apparently (she's 5 years old?!)
