As above.
Love the look of themand want to see more more more! 😆
have you had a look over at MTBR, loads of very nic's over there 🙂
I am sure TLR will be here shortly to show you his...
was a thread not long ago, have a search 🙂
I need to get one or two of these I think. That Helius AFR looks like you could drop a bomb on it and pick it up out of the crater without a scratch on it 🙂
Whoa, that is a beast KTC!!
geetee1972 that's a nice looking rig. Most of the other full sus nicolai's are a bit gate-eque.
Suspect my life won't be complete without a bmxtb though - bolt through reba's, 819/pro2, single ring w/srs+, other shiny things aaaaaagh its gonna be sexy. However had a sneaky peek on the site to see what the frame would be:
Frame £850
12mm (+90)? yes please
maxle (+45)? also yes please
ISCG (+90)? mmhmm
1.5HT (+100) yup
Total cost £1175!!!! for a sodding HT frame! That's assuming I manage to avoid the allure of custom geo (+300)...
It will be worth it, every single penny.
My AFR frame (photo courtesy of my supplier....)To be built with CCDB, probably Totem, Hammerschmidt....
And here is my Helius CC. Currently running with a Float 140.
Also have an Argon FR, and have a Helius AC on order (will be replacing the CC). Great bikes. Get over to the MTBR Nicolai forum - plenty of pics over there.
@Kenneth
Yeah that's exactly what I wanted to avoid; I wanted something that would be low slung and sleek and allow me to drop the saddle right out of the way when using it for DH so I went with the custom seat tube length.
email me gungun24 hotmail com and i'll tell you something which will be to your benefit
@ auric- that shock looks a bit harsh 😉
20thebear - I am planning on selling the CC (frame), when my AC frame turns up.
Ambrose - yes the current AFR shock there is a bit harsh, not much travel! Am sure the CCDB will be an improvment over that one 😉
god, thats a heap load of ugly bikes!
Us Nicolai riders consider function, build quality, custom options, back up etc....to come before aesthetic qualities. And of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Care to post up a pic of your bike so we can take a view on it's functional and aesthetic merits? 😉
you may think it funny, but i dont actually have any pictures of any of my bikes.
i like the functionality of the nicolais and i can appreciate why.
They are very good bikes, but I can understand why people are put off them. A bit industrial for sure.
I like them. I think they look purposeful and robust.
And I ride a Knolly.
Bobbyspangles, your mum's not exactly a looker but I still rode her 😉
No seriously, no offence meant and non taken about the aesthetics of Nics. They aren't everyone's cup of tea and they aren't cheap. Consequently you don't see many around and that's part of the appeal.

ihr seit alle deutsch geworden. ich stimme zu das die nicht unbedingt hübisch sind, aber die sind auf jedem fall sehr praktisch.
thats ok because when you were my mum, i was out riding your bike.
ianpinder - That black and gold number is BEAUTIFUL, makes me a bit weak at the knee... 😀
Our Helius AC Demo bike will be finished soon, I'll post pics as soon as it is
matt

Nicolai UK are in france till the 9th!
Really desperate for a hanger.
I might need to get one sent from Germany,
So call Nicolai in Germany direct on Monday. They are really helpful and if you explain why you're calling direct they'll understand.
