Can you get over from bourg or seez, up to la rosierre and over to la thuile using the lifts, without having to drive over?

or are we into driving to la rosierre at least?

Yes, lift up from above Seez, la Ros lift then up to the fort, drop down to col du petit st Bernard then follow the blue route into la Thuile. Coming back you appear to be able to cross back from above the top lift in la Thuile back to the border and then there are options for getting back. We're looking at it for a couple of weeks time, big day out though.

Up to La Rosiere from Seez is no problem though IIRC the lift stops for lunch, and the ride down from near the border is really nice- we've always jumped out of the van up top and then bombed down.

Thing is, there's quite a lot of distance involved too, especially after a full day at la thuile I've always been really glad to not have to ride across the top.

I've only ever got the button lift from La Ros to La Thuile on a snowboard. Was not fun, having to do it with your back foot unclipped. Was a nice run back though.
Imagine it would be awesome with bikes.
