Has anyone successfully joined two lengths of hydraulic brake hose. Got a new cargo bike that needs a l o n g hose. I've loads of spare hose from dead Shimano calipers so am wondering if there is an easy way to join them. I know it can be done as large hydraulic systems do it just not come across anything in the size of bike brake hose.
Why? Because long lengths of hose seem expensive when you add different fittings (not found Shimano hose by the meter).
Just googled shimano hose per meter, not particularly cheap but probablynot much more than buying fittings.
Shimano do SM-BH90 and SM-BH59 hose on 10m rolls.
You could use a double female coupler and 2 olives/inserts/nuts

How did I miss those! The cost of the coupler kind of defeats the aim (other than reusing hose I have). Thanks all.
Maybe worth a WTD ad for hose. Someone might've overstocked/changed brakes...
Good point. Bike arrives next week so once I've worked it out that's what I'll do. Don't fancy the cable brakes it.comes with for long!
