Michael Broadwith still fighting on, despite terrible weather in Scotland:

Live tracking here:

He was 30 or 40 minutes up on schedule at one point, but the cold and wet has slashed his advantage.

He's having serious neck problems (holding his head up on his elbows) and the support crew have been driving up the A9 trying to source a neck brace!

They managed to get that neck brace and he's now heading for Dornoch, although his neck and shoulders are no longer working...

What time does he need to finish by to break the record?

By my reckoning he needs to finish before 4:04:19am (current record is 44:04:19 and he started at 8am yesterday).

It's a big ask considering the last 24 hours but if he can keep up his recent average over the last 60 miles he's still on target to beat it.

Yes, that’s what i had calculated too.

so he’s currently got just over 4hrs to do about 52 miles or so.

depends if his neck can hold up I suppose.

50 mles to go and Berridale coming up...

A good effort will keep him on target if Berridale doesn't suck the go out of him.

Winds are light and behind him, so that's good.

Yep, good luck to him for that last stretch. I'm about to go to bed for the second time since he started this ride.
