Out of casual interest really. I don't really visit LL online or storewise but in the few times I have they said they wouldn't match or go near a price I've asked them on. They aren't explicitly promising a match only that they aim to: http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/pricepromise
I price match everything i buy from there recently on a Reverb and set of 2015 Fox 36 forks. They may not match the likes of bike discount and allthetricks because they have to make some profit.

Anyone who thinks they should (and maybe could?) isnt really worth entering into conversation with as they simply dont get the way of the world.
Are you somehow unfamiliar with the Hora ethos regarding bike shops? He believes bike shops should exist to cater for his ever changing, and largely fleeting, nonsensical whims, have absolutely everything in stock, in every size, so he can try stuff, then order it elsewhere. But he also expects them to charge him next to nothing, in fact less than nothing. Much lower than the lowest price on the interweb, even if its in another country. Or he'd merely heard it was cheaper somewhere else.
He will then also expect them to honour his multitude of petty, and unfounded warranty claims, answer all his stupid questions, and be positively fawning in their appreciation of his custom. Maybe even expressing their gratitude by giving him free stuff
No one can expect another countries retailer to price match. That was never said in the OP now was it. I'm talking like for like. The exact same product thats current. I'm quite hard on my bikes binners, especially in the different areas where I ride. When I was stripping/rebuilding my frame from the powdercoaters all the bits had almost concentrete hard gritstone present. Still with all this in mind the only items I've ever had to warranty on are forks. Now if I have to defend myself on my thread over the 'countless frames/forks' I'll ask you to put a picture up of your season ticket for Man U. OR the recent tickets you've paid for to watch them play.....
binners and hora - STWs very own Jekyll and Hyde 🙂
...very own Jekyll and Hyde...
They come across a lot more George and Mildred.

Bike-discount would probably match the other way if they had to though. Most of the the German stores offer some variation of 'cheapest in the EU' price-matching. Wiggle do too, I think. Though I've heard of several that just blankly refuse to do things like Reverbs and other things which could be grey-imports and therefore not 'the same' product that they themselves are selling. Fair enough really when it comes to that sort of thing.
Don't worry, I'm not expecting a reply 😉
Now there's a fella that's hard to categorise. Straight, gay, Yewtree? (Nice touch with the hat!)
Bury shop price matched my urge helmet....
Nope, I tried around 1997 (Mt Vision frame set) after buying a Pace from them the year before but he laughed at me as he chortled 'I've got a mortgage to pay!'

I seem to remember a Turner 5 Spot from Merlin........
Coincidentally not shopped at LL for ages myself, they used to have good deals especially on end of year stock etc.Got an item there this morning,no need to price match as it was £20 cheaper than most other online places(including CRC).I'm worried now that hora is stalking my internet shopping habits.
B&H remind me more of these two..[img]
