I just found a brochure for this in the doctors surgery this morning I had never heard of it before and would have missed it. The thing is I work for Leeds University and one of the events sets off from here. Anyway I think it looks really good

I’m thinking of CX’ing my Pompino a little for the Saltaire ride just to add to the fun.

looks like a lot of planning went in to this - shame they forgot to advertise it! (speaking as a mountainbiker from Otley who commutes to work at Leeds Uni everyday!). Thanks for the info.

Where has this been advertised?
I've not really seen anything in the magazines or round university.

There seems to be a lot of people in the forum work at or go to Leeds University.

I too rode through Bramhope and into the back of the Chevin on the way home last night. Say hello if you see me - I'm on an off-white Indy Fab with green graphics most days.

Me and StuE are going to go on the Trails and Ales ride, 14th June. [oops just spotted he's already said that...] That's led by another Leeds University employee... dunno if he's on here?? Actually it's a regular Chevin event, but this has galvanised us to actually go along and check it out.

I've done events from this for a couple of years now - they had a good treasure hunt round Temple Newsam 2 years ago that I did with my daughter. Also Iain from MTB Yorkshire does a 'cheap' training day on the Chevin, geared to beginners.

It's a great idea, but shame hardly anyone hears of it! Did Middleton Park with daughter too, and we were the only people there!

I can't do the Trails and Ales ride on the 14th but have it in my calendar for next month. I’ve never done it before so really looking forward to it. Just realised I can’t do the ride to Saltair as I’m going to Lee Quarry that day as well. Wish I knew about it earlier.
