I just found a brochure for this in the doctors surgery this morning I had never heard of it before and would have missed it. The thing is I work for Leeds University and one of the events sets off from here. Anyway I think it looks really good

Didn't know anything about that, so thanks, will have a look.
I’m thinking of CX’ing my Pompino a little for the Saltaire ride just to add to the fun.
looks like a lot of planning went in to this - shame they forgot to advertise it! (speaking as a mountainbiker from Otley who commutes to work at Leeds Uni everyday!). Thanks for the info.
Just bumping to let people know 🙂
> myfatherwasawolf I went the long way home last night via Bramhope I told my girlfriend where I went she said "didn’t you have to ride past our house?" I said “Well yes, I did say the long way home.” 8)

Where has this been advertised?
I've not really seen anything in the magazines or round university.
There seems to be a lot of people in the forum work at or go to Leeds University.
I too rode through Bramhope and into the back of the Chevin on the way home last night. Say hello if you see me - I'm on an off-white Indy Fab with green graphics most days.
Bikeweek as been running for few years, I picked up a info booklet at Chevincycles, me and my otherhalf are going to give the Dales & Ales ride a go.
I'm secretary of the University Cycling Club as well! Shame its out of term time really...
Me and StuE are going to go on the Trails and Ales ride, 14th June. [oops just spotted he's already said that...] That's led by another Leeds University employee... dunno if he's on here?? Actually it's a regular Chevin event, but this has galvanised us to actually go along and check it out.
I've done events from this for a couple of years now - they had a good treasure hunt round Temple Newsam 2 years ago that I did with my daughter. Also Iain from MTB Yorkshire does a 'cheap' training day on the Chevin, geared to beginners.
It's a great idea, but shame hardly anyone hears of it! Did Middleton Park with daughter too, and we were the only people there!
I can't do the Trails and Ales ride on the 14th but have it in my calendar for next month. I’ve never done it before so really looking forward to it. Just realised I can’t do the ride to Saltair as I’m going to Lee Quarry that day as well. Wish I knew about it earlier.
