A large outdoor shop in town had these for what looks like stupidly cheap. The pack also comes with a smaller P3 torch. The packaging reckons 200 lumen with the ability to focus. Takes AAAs too. Anyone used one as a helmet torch? I don't really need it but I think it's priced incorrectly (half the price I've seen online) so may have to head back after work and chance it
forgot to say. It's £30 - should I bother?
I bought one of these:
for cycling, after buying one for her indoors for her job. I thought it would be bright enough for a spot of night riding and while it's brighter than the small Tesco torches, it's not as bright as I was hoping.
But, that one only says max output of 60 lumes, whereas the one you mention reckons 200 lumens, which is over 3x brighter than the one I got.
Reckon it'd be worth a shot. The quality of them is great.
have one as a back up helmet light (lumicycle 4 led flood on the bars throws enough light to not need anythng else)
quality is great, as is the ability to alter the focusing. quite heavy for the helmet.
i also have a hope vision 1, i'd choose the lenser, the ability to change focus and quality of lens seem to throw a bit more light, plus having tried helmet mountng both - the lenser sits better on the head (feels lighter than the vision 1 as well)
Yes I've got one and would buy another at that price
Glad you said that as I bought it, seemed rude not to. I've got a Hope Vision 1 too and the output seems comparable , but as Captain says it seems lighter and so should be more suited to helmet mounting, especially as it has ability to change the focus.
Got it from Blacks if anyone else is interested.
I don't know that specific model, but I'm a fan of Led Lenser. I've a keychain torch and two head torches, and they're both ace.
I've got a LED LENSER anyone know where i can get any generic torch mounts for bikes?
Looking to use it riding over the winter
is it this one???
ross980 was it this one???
is it cheaper in store, you mention a multi pack???
Which one is 200 lumen ?
(I thought a P7 was about 800 lumen, & normally takes them Li-Ion cells).
The cheap P7's I have are very bright.
yeah, that's the one Valley, but it also came with a free P3 torch. Cheapest I found it for online was £55 (rrp £70).
Taki - don't be confused by the P7 bit, that's just the model number not the type of LED (I think). It has a cree led not a SSC one.
Got these to mount mine

Amazon are doing the P7 for £34.00, here:
Hmmmmm, might get one.
