Bit of a long, and by that I mean boring story where I've ended up with a Hope x2 rear brake that seems to be leaking at the connection between the hose and caliper. I have just cut fresh 5mm hose, popped on a new barb and olive with washer like I've done countless times before and yet somehow once bled, when I actuate the lever I can see small drips running back down the ouitside of the hosing.
Anybody had this before, should I have replaced the connectors at the same time as replacing the hose? I tried to cheap out and just bought the hose as I already had the barb, olive and washer as I assumed that the connectors could be reused without an issue, something I have been able to do before.
Wondering now whether to just take the hit and go to the LBS at twice the exspense or whether to go at it again after buying some more bits.

Unless you have damaged the fittings (nut and banjo/other) then replacing the olive and washer alone should be fine. Olive and washer should always be replaced as they are designed to deform to make the seal (as you know). Is the hose damaged? Is everything tightened up enough to create a seal without distorting to destruction?!
Maybe try loosening off by half a turn and nip up again. Sometimes works.
@stanley the hose is brand new so should be OK. The connectors don’t appear to look damaged but I’d imagine they must be so I think I’ll have to try replacing those next and see what happens.
On the hose its shroud, olive, barb, barb washer, banjo. Then theres 2 copper crush washers that go top and bottom of the banjo where the connector bolt goes through.
So the bits you have are everything here.
If its seeping backwards out where the barb goes, I'd cut off a bit of hose as it is possible, remotely possible, that when you pushed the barb in its somehow fouled the internal plastic hose bit inside the outer casing
I’ve followed the advice given by cutting the hose again, and loosening back a bit and it seems to be OK. I did also replace the washers as I had some new ones already. Appreciate the help as always.
