Ironic, really, when your post says nothing at all.

Hmm, this is difficult isn't it? I'll try some bullet points:

I don't usually buy MBUK these days[/*]
I bought the latest issue because I wanted to read the reviews of the Carbon Anthem X and the Yeti ASR-5 Carbon[/*]
As an unexpected bonus, I found that the Mint Sauce strip summed up the essence of a particular view of mountain biking that I appreciate[/*]
I thought it would be a good idea to alert the forum that it might be worth having a quick look at the rag in WH Smiths[/*]
Is that better? Let me know if there are any words or phrases you found tricky and I'll try to help.

I'll look, but if it's in a wrapper, there's no way I'm buying the rag just for a shot of Jo.

I thought it would be a good idea to alert the forum that it might be worth having a quick look at the rag in WH Smiths

Don't they wrap it in plastic to stop you doing that these days ?

Scan and post ? ๐Ÿ˜‰

"there's now way I'm buying the rag just for a shot of Jo."

that would be worth every penny, surely?

I don't think he's in this months issue though, just Mint.

Damn, I'm in Canada and don't get the current issue for another two months.
Looks like I'll have to get a plane ticket and fly over.
Where's the nearest WH Smith to Heathrow?

You're thinking of Fighting Girls Monthly

buying a comic for a chance to look at a cartoon that somebody I don't know likes.
somehow I don't think I'll be culturally worse off for giving it a miss.

Saw Doddy at Fort William. Previously I had thought that he was just not photogenic but I can actually confirm that he is one glaikit looking dude!

Based on his input on the Freecaster 4X replay, he's not glib. But it seems he's good with bikes and can write.

Ridiculing people for looking unattractive is childish in the extreme.

Still can't get my head around why Jo Burt hasn't come over to singletrack - he's much more in tune with "our" sensibilities.

But yes - it's a great strip this month, I'd blow it up for my living room wall if I could...

I think he's happier being subversive at mbuk.

If we're going off the original subject, who decided that putting suncream reviews in What Mountain Bike was a good idea? I nearly started a new post, it made me so angry...

Is there an online repository where you can actually order full blown up prints of Mint Sauce? Seems a real gap in the market.

On Doddy sightings (cor, this is exciting), walked past him in Bath. I was clutching my new copy of Singletrack. Should have asked him to sign it...
